THE HINTERLAND HOEDOWN IS BACK!

Saturday 5th December | 6:30pm – Midnight | M|Arts Precinct, Murwillumbah

Traditional Folk • Country Rock • Roots • Bluegrass • Bushman Blues

Dust off your boots, Murwillumbah - the Hoedown is back!

After an incredible first event, we're saddling up for round two! The first Hinterland Hoedown was such a success that we're bringing the good times back - this time downstairs to the iconic M-Arts Precinct, with even more room to dance! Get ready for another big night of live music, line dancing and country party vibes as we kick off summer in true Hoedown style.

And what better way to celebrate the first week of summer than with a night of great music, dancing, delicious drinks and a whole lotta yeehaw? We're bringing together fantastic local artists, infectious live performances and plenty of opportunities to hit the dancefloor. This time, we're adding line dancing to the mix, so whether you're a seasoned boot-scooter or have never tried a step in your life, there's something for everyone.

Pull on your favourite country outfit, round up your friends and come ready for some fun! Think cowboy hats, boots, double denim, fringe and your best country get-up. Grab a delicious Hoedown Honey cocktail from the bar, hit the dancefloor and help us kick off summer in true Hinterland style. Everyone is welcome.

LIVE MUSIC, LINE DANCING & COUNTRY PARTY VIBES

Ksea Mudge

Ksea Mudge describes his sound as bushman blues - a blend of the raw, honest emotions of the blues and the storytelling traditions of folk music. His songs tell tales of relevance, hardship and classic campfire yarns, delivered with an authentic style that's full of heart and character.

Expect a performance steeped in honest storytelling, earthy folk sounds and bluesy charm that'll have your feet tapping from the first song. Pull up a seat, settle in and let Ksea bring a little bush spirit to the Hoedown.

Line Dancing with Bec — Heel Hook Line Dancers

Dust off those dancing boots and get ready to learn some new moves! Bec from Heel Hook Line Dancers is becoming known around the area for getting absolutely everyone up and dancing, no matter their age or experience.

Never line danced before? No worries! This is all about having fun, giving it a go and getting involved. Bring your kids, bring your grandma, bring your mates - everyone is welcome, and no partner or fancy footwork is required. Expect plenty of laughs, a few new moves and a dancefloor full of happy hoedowners!

Colbey

Get ready for a big hit of coastal country energy! We're thrilled to welcome local country surf-rock favourite Colbey to M-Arts for the very first time. A familiar name around the Northern Rivers music scene, Colbey blends laid-back coastal country vibes with infectious melodies and feel-good energy to create a sound that's entirely his own.

A fun, one-of-a-kind act, Colbey brings a high-energy live show packed with personality, guaranteed to lift the room and keep you moving long after the line dancing wraps up. Whether you're already a fan or discovering him for the first time, expect sun-soaked sounds, irresistible rhythms and a seriously good time with one of the region's rising local talents.

RIA SAHAJA — Country Music DJ

Horse woman. Country gal. A classic DJ vintage.

From the underground clubs of Sydney to the dusty dancefloors of the Northern Rivers, RIA SAHAJA knows a thing or two about getting a crowd moving. With 25 years behind the decks, a deep love of musical mischief and a country soul beneath her classic DJ swagger, she's swapping house beats for cowboy boots and bringing the party to the Hoedown.

Expect a wild mix of '90s country anthems, Southern rock, honky-tonk classics and boot-scootin' bangers. Big tunes, bad behaviour (the good kind), a little line dancing and a whole lotta yeehaw!

When the live music wraps up, the party is far from over. Saddle up, Murwillumbah - this country gal is ready to raise some dust!

ROUND TWO — LET'S MAKE THIS A TRADITION!

The first Hinterland Hoedown showed us just how much the Northern Rivers loves a night of live country and roots music. Now we're bringing everyone back together for another round of great local artists, dancing and community spirit at the M Arts Precinct.

Come for the music. Stay for the dancing. Celebrate the start of summer with a Hoedown Honey cocktail in hand, your favourite country outfit on and your best dance moves ready to go.

You loved the first one - now let's do it all again! Grab your friends, dust off those boots and join us for round two of the Hinterland Hoedown. Giddy up!
