At 11, Israa leaves war-torn Syria with her family and begins the uncertain journey towards a new life in Germany. Filmed over a decade, this intimate documentary follows her through adolescence, cultural adjustment and the difficult pull between family expectations and new freedoms. Directors Itab Azzam and Jack MacInnes stay close to Israa as she grows into adulthood, creating a deeply personal account of displacement, resilience and what it means to find a home.
